Yes! My best render thus far

Finally, after waiting over 23 hours, it is finished.

Hmm... New rig just ordered

Well... I just placed an order for new computer parts; exactly $269.97. What did I get? Here ya go:

AMD Phenom II x4 (meaning quad-core) clocked @ 3.2 GHz,

MSI motherboard (took it because it had two PCIe slots),

and an XFX Radeon HD 5670 w/ 1GB DDR5 RAM.

Pretty nice. Also, the HD 5670 can run in CrossfireX mode with another card, so when I can afford it, I'm gonna be buying another HD 5670 to put in there.

Apple Store FTW

Here I am at the Apple Store in the Barton Creek Mall... On a 30" iMac... It's pretty nice; I think I might be able to strike a deal with the people here, $5 for a 30" iMac? Why not? It's not like the i7-packaged version is only $2199...

Generally, most things I make on computers turn out good. What do you think?

Some things fail. Hard.

This one took 28 hours, 53 minutes, and 33 seconds.
The black square was not added in. I have no idea how it happened, but it did. :facepalm:

Terragen 2, very good.

Hmm... It's been quiet here... I had almost-daily blog posts going on here... Ah well, what's done is done.

The marvels of modern day programming.

The above image was created in a program called Terragen 2, a terrain simulator. As you can see, it is good at what it does. This render was a simple setup; it only took me about ten minutes to change the clouds, the sun, etc.. However, it can take FOREVER to make a picture. The above picture took 13 hours, 20 minutes, and 13 seconds. The speed at which Terragen can render is almost completely dependent on your computational resources (this was done on a 2 GHz dual-core Intel Core 2 Duo and 1 GB of RAM, so...). The faster your computer goes, the faster it renders.

Sent it back!

Well, I sent the computer parts I bought from Amazon BACK to Amazon (save the 4GB RAM DIMM), so I'm out of an awesome gaming rig for sometime... I think I can use this computer to play BF2.. Let's see, Intel Core 2 Duo, okay... 1GB RAM, okay-ish, integrated GPU (NOOOOOO....)... I think I can pull this off...

So, I got these today as a graduation gift from my neighbor. The sound quality is great (bass FTW).


Crisis time! I found out that half the music in my iTunes library has mysteriously disappeared. Fortunately, I have all the music backed up on my phone, so the copying is in progress (to restore the library).
